We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental x-rays and develop them for the dentist's review
- Conduct oral cancer screenings and document findings in medical records
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Update and maintain patient medical records using electronic health record systems (such as Epic)
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care

Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in South Carolina
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations
- Familiarity with pediatric dental care is preferred
- Proficiency in using dental imaging software and equipment
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues
