The Project Administrator will coordinate Trident's Facilities Engineering projects through the full project life cycle. This individual will ensure projects are on schedule and on budget, while providing administrative and logistical support across a broad range of stakeholders.

Essential Elements:

  • Oversees the completion of assigned project activities and milestones according to schedule, budget and within quality standards, while maintaining good partner, customer, and vendor relationships in accordance with Trident Seafood's Core Values.
  • Tracks Facilities Engineering employee development and training. Partners with Learning and Development to create and maintain employee skills assessment and training portal.
  • Assists in building the apprenticeship program for the Facilities Engineering department. Communicates curriculum needs to vendors, partners, and human resources. Cultivates mentorship relationships, monitors skills progress, and coordinates shore plant training.
  • Communicates with Engineering Support Staff to assist in the monitoring of key projects.
  • Tracks key performance indicators in partnership with the team to monitor and measure project results and effectiveness.
  • Assists in capital project planning to assess capital improvement needs and supports travel, staffing, scheduling, and timelines.
  • Provides project status and financial updates as requested. Reports significant deviations from the project plan on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing data with division managers to create quarterly status report. Creates reports for Facilities Engineering life safety, operations, and skilled trades.
  • Closely partners with HR, Communications, business leaders and staff to facilitate accurate and timely reports and communication between stakeholders

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Supports, promotes, and ensures work and progress alignment with the department's overall vision, objectives, and end goal.
  • Travels to shore plants in alignment with key projects. Will be required to work on plant and operation sites in Alaska 3-4 months per year or as need.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • 3+ years of project or program management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Project Management certification (PMI) and demonstrated core project management skills preferred.
  • Seafood experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A team player with a strong work ethic that offers solid interpersonal skills and good judgment
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and team-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and MS Project. Strong administrative and computer skills.
  • Proven track record for successful delivery of projects.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and communicate successfully with people at all levels of management; exhibit excellent diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate risks, and develops control methods to mitigate risks.
  • Budget and cost management skills.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
